Hi, I’m Dave,

I founded Human Focus AI to help self-employed individuals avoid feeling overwhelmed by the daily grind of running and growing a business. I understand the passion that drives you, but I also know how it feels to get bogged down by the "other stuff" that pulls you away from what truly excites you.  

Like many, I’m not wired for the traditional 9-to-5. My journey started in science and engineering.  At one point I thought I might become an 'academic'.  I earned a Master’s in Physics, followed by a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering, and then a PhD. Why? Because I loved learning and was driven by passion. However, along the way, I had the opportunity to work with various companies, from large corporations to startups, which ignited my entrepreneurial spirit. That’s when I decided to launch my first business in the tech space.  

I’ve spent decades working in business, and along the way, I’ve earned recognition, including the Royal Academy Entrepreneur of the Year and the Royal Society of Edinburgh Enterprise Fellowship Award. I’ve also been fortunate enough to win national competitions and collaborate with the London Stock Exchange. The journey from where I started to here has been both challenging and rewarding.  An education that no university could ever provide.  

Having worn every hat in business and learned every role from scratch, I know what it’s like. I’ve balanced building a business with being a human, raising a family, facing personal challenges, and navigating successes and failures. This is what inspired me to work with other entrepreneurs and help them along their journey. It’s fulfilling, and I’ve learned so much from these experiences too.  

Most people start their own business because they want to do something meaningful and fulfilling, something that expresses who they are while contributing to others. However, I’ve found that many entrepreneurs become frustrated with how much time they spend managing the business, rather than focusing on the value they set out to create. No one wants to waste their time on tasks that don’t align with their passion, whether it’s handling admin, marketing, or operations.  

At my core, I’m an innovator, which probably stems from my engineering background. I constantly ask, “Isn’t there a better way to do this?” The answers to that question drove me to start Human Focus AI. I want to share everything I’ve learned with those who feel held back by the obstacles that used to get in my way. Human Focus AI is here to help you remove those barriers, so you can scale your business and share your gifts with the world.  

If you’re a coach, you want to spend your time coaching. If you’re a photographer, you want to capture incredible images. If you run a local business, you want to serve your community. My goal is to help you spend less time on the business tasks that drain you and more time doing what you love.  

This is my passion, working with entrepreneurs like you to release you into your true calling. I’m continually creating and sharing resources for every stage of the entrepreneurial journey, and I strive to make these resources accessible and actionable for wherever you are in your path.
